Daaher OK, But Unlikely For Dubai

Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin was relieved to find that grade I winner Daaher, who finished a well-beaten third as the 2-5 favorite in the March 1 Stymie Handicap at Aqueduct, was not suffering from any ailments the morning after the race.

Immediately following the 1 1/8-mile Stymie, in which Daaher was beaten 6 3/4 lengths by winner Malibu Moonshine, McLaughlin said he was concerned that the 4-year-old lugged in during the stretch, and mentioned that the colt had knee surgery as a 2-year-old.

"He came out of the race great," McLaughlin said March 2 from his Belmont Park barn. "I thought we would find something. What we found out is he is limited on distance. But it wasn’t a soundness issue. His legs are ice cold."

Mike Luzzi, who rode Daaher in the Stymie and was aboard for his 2 1/2-length victory in the Hill ‘n’ Dale Cigar Mile (gr.

UTC Men's Tennis Blanks Murray State

The UTC men's tennis team posted its second consecutive 7-0 victory and fourth shutout win of the season Friday night with a 7-0 win over Murray State.

The win was the sixth straight for the Mocs who swept all three doubles matches and each singles match.

Chattanooga took an early 1-0 lead on the strength of the three doubles wins, registering 8-2, 8-2 and 8-1 wins.

Head Coach Carlos Garcia shook up his singles lineup a bit to give some freshmen match experience. Everyone in the lineup responded.

Senior Badr Bouabdellah played his customary No. 1 spot and defeated Yuri Pompeu, 6-4, 6-0. Junior Peter Sauska moved up from No. 3 to No. 2 in place of senior Razvan Axente and remained undefeated in singles, 6-1, 6-3 over Hunter Gerlach.

Prescribed Medicines Commonly Used In Pregnancy

Every fourth expectant father uses prescribed medicines shortly before conception. These findings come from a new study from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH).

Many women do not realise they are pregnant before 2-3 weeks after conception so they may have used prescribed drugs unwittingly. There is still limited information about the safety or risk of use of drugs in pregnant women, or the possible effects of the father's medicinal use shortly before conception. It is therefore important to know which drugs are most widely used during pregnancy in Norway.

Prescribed medicines used by mothers and fathers before and during pregnancy are now mapped for over 100 000 pregnancies through a link from two of the NIPH's national health registers; the Norwegian Prescription Database (NorPD) and the Medical Birth Registry (MFR).
